UAE National Orchestra completes first domestic tour

The UAE National Orchestra, a symbol of the cultural identity of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has completed its first concert tour, "The Beginning." Starting in Abu Dhabi, the orchestra performed in Dubai, Al Ain, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and concluded in Sharjah. The orchestra captivated a total audience of over 3,500 people across the country.
The tour included the world premiere of "Emirati Symphony," a fusion of traditional Arab music and Western symphonies, composed by Nadim Tarabay, as well as a performance of "Dance of the Polovtsian People" from the opera "Prince Igor" by Russian composer Alexander Borodin. A 70-person choir and 30-person musicians representing 30 nationalities united different cultural backgrounds into a single sound, embodying the diversity of the UAE.
Princess Alia bint Khalid Al Qasimi, the orchestra's managing director, commented, "We were deeply moved by the emotional reactions of audiences across the country. This confirms the importance of an orchestra that represents a country and that people can be proud of."
